The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to begin their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could enable the party access locations they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to form the Questers and Planners parties.

Audiences can expect discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
